Languages: (Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu and preferably knowledge of local Indonesian dialects)  

DataLEADS is seeking a fact-checker to be a part of our growing fact-checking team. The position will be Jakarta-based or anywhere in Indonesia.  Our fact-checking team identifies and analyzes misinformation/disinformation content online. You’ll be a part of the fact-checking and editorial team and help them identify and fact-check social media content. This position offers the chance to use your key research and fact-checking skills and approaches in a dynamic, high-profile and a challenging role creating real impact.

The responsibilities and skills for this level include but are not limited to:

• You should have interest in latest news developments
• You should have good knowledge of various social media platforms and fact-checking tools
• You are passionate about news and current affairs
• You should have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, especially in Bahasa/Malay
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of working experience in journalism, media research and fact-checking
•  Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in journalism, mass communication, social science or relevant fields.
• Excellent communication skills English Bahasa / Malay – fluent in reading, writing and speaking
